FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Han graduated from Inha University with a Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering. After immigrating to America, he quickly became fascinated with the intricate art of handcrafting teeth under the mentorship of various lab technicians. Shortly after honing his skills in fixed restorations and ceramics with his wife, Meea, he founded Art Dental Lab in the basement of his own home in 1990, and earned his Certified Dental Technician designation in 1996. Over 25 years later, Art Dental Lab has advanced exponentially to a spacious-state-of-the-art facility with a team of 20 skilled technicians.
Han is dedicated to furthering his education in order to provide the best methods and technology for his clients. He has been trained in courses I, II, and VI at the Kois Center, which focused on treatment planning, functional occlusion, and fixed and removable implants. He also completed the “Neuromuscular Lab Technician Techniques” curriculum at the Las Vegas Institute to further master the simple and scientific concepts of fabricating physiologic restorations and orthopedic appliances for full-mouth reconstruction. At the New York University College of Dentistry, he completed the year-long “Mastering Advanced Aesthetics and Ceramics” curriculum, which emphasized case assessment, planning and sequencing, and the latest advancements in ceramic materials and preparation/application techniques.
Han enjoys opening his lab not only for personal tours with clients but in-house seminars to share the knowledge he has accumulated over the years. These seminars have featured a variety of guest lecturers from 3M, Ivoclar, and more to share on topics such as bonding and cementing, making better impressions, and All-On-4 Implants.
Today, Han continues to excel not only in his daily crown and bridge work and his exploration of the ever growing field of dentistry, but also in setting aside time to review each and every case before it leaves the lab to ensure the signature attention and quality that Art Dental Lab is known for as a local provider. He is always present to personally develop solutions and treatment plans over the phone and in person with his clinicians and patients.
